ORGANIZATIONAL ASSESSMENT

I evaluate the current state of arts organizations, arts colleges, and arts universities by
  • Conducting private interviews (30-minute private video calls) with up to 20 key stakeholders (a mix of pre-selected board members, supervisors, direct reports, and consumers)
  • Reviewing internal and published documents (the latest strategic plan, Form 990, annual report, financial statements, board meeting minutes, and funded grant proposals)
  • Writing an organizational assessment report that includes his research findings and improvement recommendations

STRATEGIC PLANNING

I plan the future of arts organizations, arts colleges, and arts universities by
  • Moderating 4 focus groups (90-minute group video calls) with the Board (Group 1), Supervisors (Group 2), Direct Reports (Group 3), and Consumers (Group 4)
  • Facilitating 4 strategic planning sessions (90-minute group video calls) with the Strategic Planning Committee
  • Writing the new 3-year strategic plan for the Strategic Planning Committee to implement

PROGRAM DESIGN

I design new programs for arts organizations, arts colleges, and arts universities by
  • Conducting a feasibility study to evaluate the program's market demand, financial viability, and operational readiness
  • Designing the program's first curriculum, budget, funding model, revenue model, facility layout, and organizational chart
  • ​Writing the program launch plan for the program team to implement

MY CONSULTING CREDENTIALS


I am an award-winning, internationally recognized arts executive and arts management consultant with 16 years of professional experience. I currently serve as the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Roger Lee Arts, LLC and the Founder and Artistic Director of Roger Lee Dance Company. I previously served as the inaugural Dean of String Theory School of Design, the inaugural Director of Dance Programming at West Park Arts Fest, the Co-Director of the South Site at Philadelphia Department of Parks and Recreation's Introduction to the Performing Arts Camp, the Drumline Manager and Program Coordinator at Musicopia, and the Publicist of Philadelphia Ballet (formerly Pennsylvania Ballet).

I currently serve as the Scholarship Advisor at Interlochen Center for the Arts. I previously served on the Board of Directors at The Strides Collective and advised on the allocation of $18.5 million in arts grant funding awarded by National Endowment for the Arts, Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, City of Sacramento's Office of Arts and Culture, Philadelphia Cultural Fund, and Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation.

I earned a Master's Degree in Arts Administration from Drexel University, a Bachelor's Degree in Dance and Media and Communication Studies (Magna Cum Laude with Honors in Dance) from Ursinus College, and Certificates in Leadership, Negotiation, Financial Management, and Fundraising. I graduated from the Designing Leadership Program and LeadLab: A Creative Leadership Program.​
