BOOKED BY ARTS ORGANIZATIONS
YOUR CHALLENGE
As the President, CEO, and/or Executive Director of a non-profit arts organization, you have the challenge of serving your mission with limited resources (lack of money, facilities, and/or personnel). Your work becomes even more challenging when you are engaging in random activities without following a strategic plan. In today's rapidly changing world of increased donor disengagement and federal funding cuts, your arts organization needs a new strategic plan to guide the next 3 years of your operations. The strength of your strategic plan will determine if your arts organization survives or thrives in this new climate.
OUR SOLUTION
Our Founder and CEO Roger Lee can design a new 3-year strategic plan for your arts organization to implement.
Philosophy
Roger believes that arts strategic plans are living and breathing guides that should be clear enough for your stakeholders to understand, inclusive enough for your stakeholders to buy into, exciting enough for your senior leadership team to want to implement, relevant enough for your arts organization to remain impactful 3 years into the future, and flexible enough for your arts organization to effectively respond to unforeseen circumstances (such as donor disengagement, federal funding cuts, recessions, inflation, industry collapses, cultural shifts, new laws, new policies, new regulations, and global pandemics).
Credentials
Roger's arts strategic planning credentials include professional experience implementing all innovation and entrepreneurship objectives in Penn State Brandywine's 2020-2025 strategic plan as a member of the campus' Budget and Strategic Planning Committee and senior leadership team (the first Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship), volunteer experience serving as a Member of the Board of Directors for The Strides Collective and a nominator, screener, and/or panelist for National Endowment for the Arts' ArtsHERE Grant Program, Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation's Regional Resilience Fund, Pennsylvania Council on the Arts' Preserving Diverse Cultures Division and Creative Sector Flex Fund, Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development's COVID-19 ARPA PA Arts and Culture Recovery (PACR) Program, and Philadelphia Cultural Fund's Youth Arts Enrichment Grants Program, and a Master's Degree in Arts Administration from Drexel University.
Process
Roger's 3-step arts strategic planning process includes moderating 4 focus groups (90-minute group video calls) with 4 segments of your arts organization's community (your Board of Trustees or Directors, your Senior Leadership Team, your Faculty, Staff, and/or Artists, and your Students, Program Participants, and/or Audience Members) to learn about their visions for your next 3 years of operations (step 1), conducting a goal setting session (a 3-hour group video call) with your Strategic Planning Committee to discuss focus group findings and to set the top 3 goals for your new 3-year strategic plan (1 for each year) (step 2), and writing your 3-year strategic plan (step 3).
Deliverables
Roger's arts strategic planning deliverables include a strategic plan presentation (a 1-hour group video call) where he shares the highlights of your new 3-year strategic plan and answers the audience's questions about it and your new 3-year strategic plan (e-mailed to you as a PDF after his presentation) that includes an executive summary, top 3 goals (1 for each year), and recommended action steps for achieving each of the top 3 goals.

LET'S WORK TOGETHER!
Our collaboration begins with a conversation. During a Discovery Call (a 30-minute private video call), Roger will learn about your arts strategic planning needs and share how he can fulfill them. If we make a great pair, we'll take it from there!
